Default 2007 FXSTC Front Wheel Change Out

Anybody out there ever had any experience changing the 21" 2.15 over to the 19" 2.50 sporty wheel. I am considering it for the bigger tire.

Check out this size chart to see if it will work.

Chart is not entirely accurate since I had a 160/80/16 rear and have a 150/80/16 front. Chart says that shouldn't work at all, but it does. Not running a fender though, so maybe the chart considers that "custom". Anyway....

Blue, you can make almost anything work. Some things to consider are axle diameter, hub width, and spacer sizes. I put a rear wheel on the front of my train. Was able to use stock spacers, but had to have the hub shaved about 1/8" to make the brake work. Other than that, bolted right up. So if you're prepared to do a little work to make it fit.......

Chart is good information no doubt, however what I am looking at doing is moving over to the 19" 2.5 from a sporty because #1 I like the MAG look, #2 puts a little more rubber on the ground, #3 fits my budget (custom wheel doesn't).

Was just reaching out to see if anybody has done it that would know the parts off the top that I will need. Don't mind doing a little modification, have access to just about anything machine shop wise.

I'm sure it's not going to be a direct fit due to the hub width of the Sportster wheel (narrow glide) and the Softail wheel (wide glide). As long as you have the correct size bearings in the wheel, everything else can be compensated for with simple spacers. There's a guy running around locally that has the newer Dyna split 10 spoke wheels on his Deluxe......so anything is possible with a little engineering. Good luck and post some pics when you figure it out.
