Springer front fender
Ok so I am stationed in Germany. I have a full custom I built myself from a 04 springer...the issue I have is that I removed the front fender but it is required to have a front fender by law here in Germany, Due to the fact that the fender needs to "float" with the action of the suspension it needs to sit high on the wheel...is there anything out there beside machining my own brackets to make the wheel sit tighter to the front wheel? I have searched and searched and I have found nothing. Any help would be great. Thanks...Lo
Thanks for the replies all...yeah I love the look of the bike without the fender and I would love to play ignorance with the German Polizei but at the time of inspection they write down EVERY mod made to the bike and if you get pulled over they inspect the list if one of those items is missing or changed you must leaver your bike at that location until the part can be located or put back on etc....it is ridiculous here. You have to carry a packet of crap around with you just in case you get pulled over....loud pipes are the biggest thing here....you can't have them. Companies here have gone as far as placing electronic butterfly valves in the pipes so that you can turn off the sound with a push of a button..very expensive and shows ingenuity but still ridiculous all the same. I built my bike to be bare bones custom and now I have to "stockify" it to be able to ride it...needless to say I am irritated to say the least.
