There is a manufacture who makes a main fuse that is fob activated, the fob needs to be within five feet or so or the bike wont start.
Don’t know the name.
I dont know where to instal the dead mans switch but i would suggest that you buy a set of wheels on ebay, they are being sold cheap and i don't know how safe drilling will be.
It is a extra kill switch, I have one mounted under my cow bell, it is a push on push off. It cuts everything. It activates a solenoid that cuts the main power to the main switch.
Drilling the holes out on the Fatboy is pretty easy, done that too. Put your drill press on the floor, block up the tire on the other side, drill away.
Remember the holes dont line up so there will be twice the number of holes once you are done.
I dont know how much relief i get from the wind, it is probably minimal, but it is a cool look.
I'm liking the push-button idea. Makes it more hideable. Somewhere inconspicuous yet hidden (under the tank, in the nacelle, inside with the horn is a good one.....use your imagination, just make sure it's weather proof/resistant.
Drilling the rims??? Are you Ka Ka Ka KRazy? You run a serious risk of getting them so out of balance no weight could rectify it. Besides, that'd look totally ghetto-fabulous for this nice bike you just got. And to top it all off, drilling holes in your rims won't do anything for the wind (do a search, most will agree). Get some aftermarket rims, even used ones, they aren't too bad $$$.

I drilled mine, it is no big deal, after you drill them you balance them. Mount them without the tires, brakes, and spin them see where they stop.
Mine were perfect when done, I even ground down the centers/castings marks and polished them afterwards.
Takes time, but did I mention no big deal.
Hats off to you Harleycruiser.... I like customization, but there's certain things I won't mess with and rims are 2 of them. 2 hunks of metal spinning at 75mph 18" away from my legs won't be something I will be mucking with, IMHO.

Yeah. Have you seen harleycruiser's anything but normal build... He, unlike yourself and I, has fabrication talent, vision, ability and obviously confidence!
I do agree that theoretically, the holes in the rims will not make a difference for the wind push the OP is hoping to diminish.

Thanks for the kind words. Yea I’ll be the first to agree I don’t believe drilling the holes made any difference. I think you need 25% removed to help, at least that is what the East Coast Timing Association requires for land speed records.
As far as the holes throwing off the balance you are taking off the same all the way around, and then I just took the brake pads off with the tire, and spun it, like I do to balance my tires. You just don't want them stopping in the same place every time.
Works great.
When you start to grind the casting marks out of the wheel is where you need to be more carful not to get one side more than the other.
I did both these at least eight years ago, before the new style wheels came out with the holes in them.
I might have just gone with them instead.
I know there are a lot of wheel places that will cut big holes in Fatboy rims and polish/chrome them but it was out of my price range.
