Thanks for all the opinions, advice and feedback guys! The old man has been riding since I was a kid and he swears by the wind theory. The wind never stops blowing in West Texas so i bet I'm just going to have to get used to it. After doing some research the wheel thing, I'm thinking it can be a comparable argument to whether Bigfoot exists, lots of folks on both sides. Again, thanks for all the responses! You might be on to something there. I was stabbing in the dark for what it was called. The old man had one on a sporty he had when i was a kid, always thought it was cool. Since this was his bike I was thinking of adding a few things to pay homage the grumpy old coot. Maybe instead I'll strip off the chrome and add some drag bars, that'll **** him off!
