Default Seat question?

Does anyone know if a Mustang Wide Touring Seat places you closer or further from the tank than a Deep Bucket Sundowner? Or are they about the same? I've got long legs and have already put 3" Forward Control Extensions on my '08 FXSTC. Anyone know?

Steve

Put a Mustang solo on mine late last fall in the hunt the "perfect" seat. I can't say that it moved me forward, just up. Am considering having a little taken out of the back and bottom so I sit more in than on. Hope this helps.

My mustang solo with backrest put me up and forward a bit. I've been told this particular seat can't be reworked to sit lower or farther back. I'm thinking of once again blowing too much $$ for another seat.

+1. I have a 2-up Mustang touring and it pushed me forward. I don't use it any more, but it was REALLY comfy.

I agree it does push you forward, but at least for my wide touring seat, it only pushes you forward a tad. The thing to me thats more noticeable is that (as mentioned) it also raises you up. It just has more padding than most aftermarket seats. The padding is for comfort, and the slight butt lift is a well appreciated result. No question the bare bones styled seats drop you down into the bike, and that is a cool stance, but a hundred miles from home, you'll really appreciate the Mustang butt lift. And at your size, I think the slight position variance in the wide touring seat will be offset by the greatly improved Mustang comfort.
