Default air horn question

i picked up a wolo bad max on ebay, what ive read very similar to stebel, my question is whether these air horns are temp sensative. Im in Northeast and it has been very cold havent ridden much, but from testing in cold i usually get a very high pitched tone and then it night go into deep normal sound, do i have a dud, or are most peoples air horns sensitive to cold, do the jugs warm them after a little riding?
thanks

I have a wolo bad boy and don't have any issues with cold. How cold is cold? For me, it's 25 deg F.

Maybe you do have a dud?

Mine used to not be but now, it doesn't work correctly until its at least 50 degrees or so. It looks like the constant vibration is making it come apart. Going to be getting rid of it soon! I don't think they are made very well!

Edit: Thinking about getting Howards Hog Horns http://www.howardshorns.com/ Quite a bit more expensive but, alot better built...at least they look like it. Only time will tell.

It's recommended to use the horn daily.
I just hit mine while on the highway with no vehicles near to think I'm honking at them.
So far, I've had no problems with mine doing that.

never had any problems with my wolo - worked perfect everytime !!!

i also wired in a relay when i did it --
the stock wire isnt strong enough to carry the horns demand

and may fry the wiring -- the relay will act as a switch in between
the horn stock wire operates the relay switch -- the 30 post will send the 12 volt to the horn
thats if u wanna do it this way

the rest of the numbers on the relay
86 is the bottom
87 is the left side
30 the right side
