Default Memphis Shade batwing for Fatboy Lo

I recently purchased (the bank did) a new Fatboy Lo 2013. I want to get a Memphis Shade quick detach faring for it but dont know how hard it is to relocate the turning signals, and where the signals would be after relocation is complete. And if they would look stupid after said relocation.
Thanks for any help. Pictures would be great if anyone has one on there Fatboy.

Thanks

(Sig pic not the same fatboy)

Bump .... (for my hubby )

There must be SOMEONE who's done this, can attest to the ease or difficulty of installtion, is the turn signal relocation a PITA? How does it look?

Like he said - his sig pic is NOT the bike he has now - he just hasn't gotten a chance to change it. His NEW bike has the STOCK handlebar setup.

Thanks guys - I just KNOW someone out there must have some constructive, informative input!!

I can only help you with the turn signal relocation disassembly part.

Theres two ways you can do this. Cut the lights at the handles and pull the wire out. Or partially disasseble the grips and then disconnect the light wiring under the gas tank and take the pins out of the connector then pull the wires through the bar out the ends of the handles.

A lot like to just cut and solder but lifting up the tank and pulling the connectors isn't that hard to do.

Default Rewiring

I found that the wiring on the 2012 model is the same as a Heritage. Meaning if you look on the front right side tank area there is a blank female plug used specifically for turn signals mounted on forks. I bought the male plug and connectors at HD. I think it cost like 15 bucks. The turn signal relocation kit can be purchased from JP Cycles for 40.00 shipped. Simply cut the wires at the controls. You don't have to reroute the wiring. Leave it there.
Your going to create a new wiring harness and plug it into the existing female plug on the side of the tank. Plug n Play. Works perfectly.
