anybody got any ideas on where to get a good liking chin spoiler good the train. I've seen the ones at harley and Corbin and not too excited about the look.
yes yes, thank you for pointing out the obvious. I've went through most of it and basically only found the two in the above mentioned for the a soft tail, most were for touring and bagger bikes. . was looking for something more stylish and custom. not just a little wedge with a hole cut out. figured someone who know Good place to get one.
Question, does a "chin spoiler" serve a purpose or is it all just about looks? Do they actually pick up air and increase the amount of air flow to and over the motor? Also, are they all made of fiberglass or does anyone make theirs out of metal? I see a perfect opportunity to add chrome if I can find one made of metal then ship it off to be chromed! I know, I know, I'm a chrome *****. I do not however think I have gone to far or have to much chrome on my bike making it look " gaudy". I think my bike has a nice blend and it all flows very nicely. Hmmm, I just had a thought. We have a guy here on this site who stretch's fender's and does a damn nice job too. He is who I have picked to do mine next winter so I can finish my bike and do paint. I am going to contact him to see what he thinks and says about making one out of metal for me if no one else has them. I don't know if expense will make that little project feasible or not though. I am WAY over budget so I don't know that I can do this now or not. I think getting my seat done now is going to be the 1st casualty of things I have to drop off of my winter mods list to be done at a later date. This triple bypass really threw a monkey wrench into everything! I'm still on this side of the dirt so in all reality it's all good. Stay tuned.
They're for looks like a lot of the stuff we put on our bikes.
Since it's right in the path of everything kicked off the front wheel, keeping it looking show quality isn't going to happen unless it's on a show bike.
I like how the Corbin goes all the way up but not a fan of the rounded bottom. I like the bottom to flair out forward to a point. like a mix of the two available.
The one Harley sells is the same one they used on the SE bikes years ago. I picked one up from a guy on here and put it on, looks good so far I think. I will have to shoot some pics this weekend
