fatboy with bobtail problems
I have a 2009 fatboy and wanted to put a bobtail fender on it, I thought everything would bolt right up to do it and for the most part it does. I got a fender from a 2009 crossbones and a taillight/license plate mount from a 2010 crossbones. I have to drill 2 holes for the seat to mount up, which isn't a big deal, but I cannot figure out how to install the taillight mount. If I line up the 2 threaded holes in the mount with the 2 rear holes in the fender it is too close to the tire and it uses up the hole the turn signals wires should run through. Any help would be great, I am thinking I am missing some parts. The taillight mount doesn't seem to be quite the right shape either. the part# on the back is 59995-06A.thanks forany help with this.

2 dealers near me, 1 is 100 miles north, other is 100 miles south, lol. But I did find a website that had exploded views, And Harley makes a kit to install the bobtail fender on softails p/n 59691-07, but I couldn't find it online. From the exploded view from the parts manual and the bobtail kit exploded view I found out i just need to replace the struts all the way to the back of the fender with p/n 59076-06. about $30 bucks for 2 of them shipped. Just waiting on them to finish it up.I Have to get some 2 sided tape to stick the wiring harness back under the fender too.
