Hello all. Summer season is about to kick into full gear here in northern VA, and I have the itch for more power. Over the winter I installed big city thunder baffles into my V&H 2 into 2 big radius, an S&S dual runner intake, and a Power Commander 5 with a map off of their site. Still havent had time to take it to get tuned at a dyno center because I have been stalling on a set of cams. I've heard nothing but good things about the SE 255 in a 96ci, but does anyone have any other suggestions? I dont care about the lope or idle, I just want a solid cam to give me awesome torque throughout the rpm range.

Herd they are good but drop off before other cams do. Look at the Woods 777 and Andrews 54?
I'm going with woods 222 here soon. Looks to give the best low end torque and runs out high enough for my riding style on my heritage. I don't care about high end horsepower.
No bolt in cam will be really good throughout the Rpm range.
Most will give U a Low-Mid, or Mid-High big increase in TQ..
U need to read a lot more and look up some info on cams for Harley's..
The SE 255's are made for the Big touring bike thats loaded up with 2 aboard and bags full of stuff..
They are not the cam U want for a Softail.. More so if U ride solo..
As above said the new 222's by woods looks to be a great bolt n for Softies and If I where to get another set to replace my Andrews 26's, I would look hard at them.
Woods 555.... gained 14hp and 5 ftlbs from my stage 1... great cam bike runs incredible now. Cruise in 4th and 5th gear... 6th gear is finally usuable at 70... great power and take off. Come on a bit later but pull hard to the top... good drop in cam that makes the 96" run.

the 555's or 777's won't give you all the power that they can in a stock 96"..you really need good headwork for those.. For a stock 96" without heads, check out the Woods TW-222's.

Got 20k on my 555 and yes they would have liked a bump in compression. Oh well. 107" and worked over crank on the way. Should be a whole different animal. Couldnt afford head work. Maybe this winter.
