Here is some reading below that will help U decide what cam to get.

No one cam will make Awesome TQ across the sheet.

Since U didn't say what/where U wanted Ur TQ, cept Ur statement AWESOME TQ at all rpms which to do U'd have to do the heads and cams along with a BB kit and some better pistons. Thats about another $3-4 K unless U do all the work.

If U go with the 255's in a 96, I would suggest U install CR's to make Ur starter last longer, as they have a High CC vs a lot of other cams.

Also look at the DYNO for Softails in the softail section, its in the sticky threads at the top of the first page to see what other Softail owners are using.
