Default stage 2 and ??

Been out of it long enough I don't have much for local contacts so I'm kinda winging it.

I have a 2012 WG and am looking at some basic mods, so far looks like the Rineheart 2 into 1 pipe with baffle left in, big sucker stage one A/C, TTS master Tune and cams.
Been suggested by a good tuner the 245 cams might work better for me, I do 90% of my riding fairly normal but like to twist the throttle once in awhile and it was said the 245 cam would work better than the 255..

I'd like to get close to a 100 ft-lbs of torque and a bit more hp..possible???
Or am I reaching to far for what I'm doing?

TIA
Al

Do you mean the 254E cam?

Rough rule of thumb:
255s - low end grunt to save changing gear much, great pulling from idle.
254Es - low/mid power and great cams for stock engines.
204s - mid range power cams, great for all-round use as you get a flat torque curve right across the piece (sound sexy at idle too).

You might be lucky and reach 100 tq with these cams but forget the peak numbers, they are strictly for bragging rights. For a Harley you want wide flat curves as high as possible. Silly cams that give a big spike at 6000 rpm are crap to ride and can actually rob the bike of power compared to stock in the revs where the vast majority of people do their riding.

Ya 254E, doing this from work and had to check my home email.

Not interested in running 6,000 rpm much, looking for that low and mid range, been looking at some of the dyno posting and most seem to favor the upper RPM range, and seem a bit peaky, nothing I need right now.

I can't see a bigger bore kit, stroker cranks or anything major happening, maybe a bit of head porting, but prob not, so sounds like the 254E cam might fit what I need...thanks.

Also heard I should look at S&S cams too??
