Default Install wires from front to back

I need to run 2 wires though the backbone-front to the battery compartment or electrical compartment. A pull-wire stops dead on metal after about 3'. I see a flat-conduit that must drop out of the BB but I don't think there is anymore room in it. Any suggestions on fishing these 2 16g wires? Thanks.

You can run them right next to the backbone without sending them through it. On my dyna there are a few wires that are outside of the backbone and a channel for them to run through on either side. That is certainly simpler.

Yeah, I found room for my GPS power cable between the frame and tank, on the right side. EZ.

ok. Went over to the dark-side and got the wiring in. (dark side meaning, I was working on the left side where the light is). Tried running a flexible conduit but couldn't figure a solid way to strap it up off the heads (once everything warms up) without removing the tank. Thanks for the suggestions. All better now!

On an 03 it sounds like you were hitting the connectors, there is nothing inside that frame tube to hit. As Joe said above, a fish tape should have easily got your past those.

Hi. I'm a retired Electrician. I have a Brass flexible high-dollar fish tape, an 1/8" steel tape, 14g steel wire and some 20g steel wire. Could get all of the though, but everyone stopped at the same place at the seat end of the frame.....metal to metal contact. There must be a 'drop-out' cavity somewhere in the boxed frame, but I couldn't see/feel it and I really didn't want to mess with a full fuel tank to find it. I'm comfortable with the way I got the wires installed. I was able to snake the wires over the throttle-cable support points, over the stabilizer link and through the flat conduit protection over the rear cylinder. I used a high heat rated insulated wire, so I'm good. No worries.
Thanks for the help.
