No regrets on Mods yet but I have just started. Def.. regret going through 7 crotch rockets and there mods before buying a HD. Should have listened to my wife who suggested to get a HD about 4 yrs ago.
I wish I would have gotten S&S 585G cams instead of 510G cams only because now after doing the cams I ended up going bigger on the bore raising compression and doing head work. At the time i did the cams I wasn't planning to do basically everything lol. Funny how one thing leads to another. Also the idea of grinding the case to fit the bigger cam makes me nervous. Not really worth doing another cam swap now since the bike runs like a champ and since it's been done hasn't been beat... my time will come soon I'm sure but no matter what that thing is a blast to ride and I love it.

I regret not spending the money on better wheels... my DNA's are rust magnets and (less importantly) leak... for the money, they're **** IMO.
Dig my Legends Air Ride... but... From the reviews/comments on the forum... I think I would like the Shotgun Shock a lot more.
Finally... I have a love/hate relationship with the paint on my bike. I dig knowing I won't ever park next to 'my bike' wherever I go. But man... sometimes... sparkly orange paint is just a little too much.

Me....2 regrets. One, I should of spent big and went all out on the engine. Now knowing I am married to the bike and with me for a very long time, I would of went with a 120ish engine. Second, don't make due with defects and trust Indys. I went through he'll with the dealership trying to fit and paint my imperfect weld RWD rear fender. Now this summer I am sending it back into a custom shop to reweld and paint.
Besides that its been great. A whole lot of learning in the past 3 years....thank to these forums. I did my best to do my homework before hand on concept and products. Overall I am happy since I came out of the gate as a noob.
So what regrets if any do you folks have when it comes to mods?
That is a Bad *** looking Fatboy Lo. Nice work, definately dont see many like that.
I have always loved bobtail rear fenders but if I had to do it again I would have bought a much older used heritage and started from there. Could have saved a lot of money in the initial purchase. Oh well live and learn, maybe on the next bike.
