Thanks a lot for the good words, guys! I'm really happy with the overall look. I have a curb at the end of my driveway so that was my first (and only) scraping so far. I know a lot of posted pics helped me make my decision so I'm glad I could help some of you out too.

Johnny 5, the license plate bracket and tail housing are from SoftBrake.

Motown and Tbone, the toolbox is the Harley left side box. I didn't like how it looked mounted where it's supposed to go (which would be in the way now anyway) so I used some 1/8"x1" steel from Mynards to make 2 backing bars that utilize the bolts for the belt guards and passenger peg. I need to figure out a way to make it more quick-detach for when I get quick-detach bags. Close-up pic below.

Benway and Motown, you just installed Samsons. The clamp at the joint between the u-pipe and crossover pipe touches the fins on my rear jug. Do yours do that? I don't know if that's a bad idea or not, but there's really no room to adjust the angle of the u-pipe.

Mine does not touch. I had to "re-fit" a couple times to get everything to line up and fit correctly but worth all the trouble.

So, my question is, can I or can I not use a left side tool box with my new 39's or not? I don't see how it would interfere with the pipes but I think I can see where I might have a problem with my rear passenger floorboards. I do have them on extensions now, the rear floorboards that is. It's no big thing, it's not like I have to have it to make my bike complete. I was just looking for storage space since I am losing my front leather pouch and I hate how my bike looks with the quick detach bags on. I just don't wanna spend the money on one only to add it to my "bad idea pile" over in the corner of my garage.

Man, that looks awesome. My next big mod for sure.

As for the toolbox, it appears that it won't work with the shotgun shock when the swing arm tucks into the frame. That's what it looks like to me anyway.

Again, the bike looks sweet, op.

Dude,

Sorry to say, but the answer is no. You can't use the left side toolbox with crossovers using the standard mount for the toolbox. The rear cylinder pipe is in the way where it courses behind the primary. Your options are to forego the left toolbox or do what prldrm did and find a new mount. Your passenger floorboards will not be a problem. You may require a slightly longer bolt because the floorboard bolt is one of the mounting locations for the toolbox bracket.

I am in the same boat you are. I can't mount mine in a different location because of the Heritage saddlebags. Besides, I like the standard mount for symmetry. Fortunately, I found a metalsmith in Austin who will customize the toolbox for me. He's so busy that I will likely wait until fall to have it done.

Thanks for answering. Damn, readjusting is going to be a real ****. It was a pain in the sack to get the rear manifold nut torqued with a crowfoot. Guess I'll play with it a little and see if I can get some clearance.
