i have a 2000 softail standard and i'm trying to decide between vance and hines big shots long and rinehart 2 into 1's. does anyone know which one will produce more power and still give a classic harley sound. the big shots long are suppose to increase hp as much as a 2 into 1 exhaust but i just don't know which way to go. thanks.
like most other questions on this forum you will get a bunch for the VH longs mostly guys who have them on there bikes who have never felt what the others feel like on the bike and them another group with the rhinharts saying buy them bottom line get the ones you like the most the ones that you think look the best the difference will not have you breaking any speed records
I have D&D Boarzilla 2 in 1, aren't cheap, mine was 800.00 maybe little more ,i had them install performance baffle, pretty loud but all harley, gave me more power with just s.e.r.t ,K&N, scremin eagle plug wire's 8mm, was told maybe1 or 2 horse, but for 12 buck's i said what the hell, anyway 1000 service had them dyno bike tune pipe to motor , and now making allmost 100H.P & Tourqe, and that's with no engine work, run's fast enough for me, and if i fell like taking long road trip will not worry if engine will blow up on me, also i still have warrenty, so try to look at my dyno and go to D&D web site, they have been making race pipe's for 25yrs or more at there site show all harley's and spec's ,dyno for all there pipe's, these are top quality so it's your dough good luck plus my bike 103 c.v.o fat boy, really woke it up.
I had a V&H 2-1, it made good power but I didn't care for the sound.
I switched to BSL and they sound good and make good power, but a bit tooloud for my taste.
I switched to the SE Double Barrel
I still have the BSL's in the original box with all the harware, and I have the quiet baffles. they were on my bike for about 1000 miles.
Part number 17909, I'll sell them for $250 plus shipping to you.
