I have 05 with a baker 6 speed, how did you get the gear indicator to work? I also have the low profile dash. How did you get it to fit? Really tight on the fuel pump plug. What did you do to get it to fit?

To get it to fit in the low profile dash take some pliers and carefully twist the fuel pump plug to the right. Dont twist it to far just far enough to clear the bottom of the speedo. If you twist it to far the fuel guage wont work(dont ask me how I know) after that it should fit right in..
As for the gear indicator,I dunno. I just noticed it working as I was out riding before..

I love mine.... 15 minutes to install and 2 hours sitting in the garage in the dark picking out colors!!!! That really is the hardest part!

I didn't need to see this thread either, I'm just itching to spend the money on one of these. Hopefully I can make myself put it off a little longer if there is a newer version coming out.

I wish the numbers on the speedo were a little bigger. At 70mph with no windshield or helmet visor the numbers are a bit blurry when you've got watery eyes behind your sunglasses.

And I agree, trying to find the perfect colour layout is the hardest part. I really wish there was a way to cycle through the base colours a little faster and then fine tune within those colours. It sucks when you are currently at 250 and you want to change it to 195 or something and have to sit there for five minutes just pushing the button over and over again.

If you just push and hold the appropriate turn signal button, the numbers will cycle automatically rather fast. You don't have to push it over and over again. Also, IIRC, the number settings range from 0 - 600 and cycle continuously (goes up from 600 to 0 and down from 0 to 600).

I guess I should have looked a little harder for the manual when I went back in to change the colours, I didn't remember that you could use the turn signals and was just using the odometer trip button.

for anyone else that is considering this mod, the speedo/tach # 70900070A works in a 06....gear indicator works as well as the fuel level
