Default DK Customs Coil Relocation and Service Experience.

Ok folks let me tell you this, Some vendors provide good products, Excellent products and sometimes iffy products (lets not go there ), When a vendor provides an 'excellent' product, the next step up is when they provide Excellent support.

As we all rave about JD for his SS support (and he deserves it), I must mention DK Customs here.

I asked for a kit with two horns to increase my sound, and they sent it in time, during the install, the horns were not working, DOA, I was really pissed thinking 'here is another delay', and sent the email while walking to my car saying the horns did not work.

I tell you before I buckled down my seat belt, there was the reply " send us photo of your new horn bill and we will pay it no problems". it is very rare the a vendor responds that fast to refund I tell you.

It has been a week, I got my bill but lost my phone and Camera, and while waiting I got an email of refund "no worries, we got you" they said.

Not only they refund the cost of the horns, but they add shipping cost too, total class act.

To top it off.. look at my before and After photos and see for yourself what difference this kit makes.. I can not believe it .. for the buck , this is the biggest bang you will get and one of the easiest to do yourself as well.

Before

After

Before

After

I am still smiling every time I look at it, and to think it costs only so little compared the other Mods (Triple Tree, Shotgun, Paint Job).. the difference is incredible ..

Thanks Again DK guys (Dawn, Kevin and the whole crew), not only for the awesome product but for the peace of mind and excellent customer service, I always say, you do not know how good a provider is when things are smooth, you only know how good they are when things go wrong and then the real quality shows up.

I also had a DOA horn in the relocation kit from DK.

I sent them an email on a Saturday, I got a response by lunchtime on Monday, and the replacement was in my mailbox on Wednesday. I really can't complain about the DOA arrival when their support is so easy and cooperative. Would recommend them anytime. Based on this thread though, hopefully DK has already solved with the DOA units.

The kit allows you the option to put the horns on the down tubes in the front of the bike (ala Rocker) and I did ask my indy to splice the line, and put another horn on top of the Carbs under the tank there was a post on doing that here sometime ago and I used the pictures from that post.

Thanks guys for the good words.

On the horns, we test each one prior to shipping, so not sure why some are DOA. But we've changed up anyway. Hopefully no more problems.

I have one on mine between the downtubes.

But will soon be installing a Wolo Bad Boy Air Horn on the swingarm (got the idea from ghoticov) and removing the little one from between the downtubes.

These things are LOUD!

re: the block at the bottom, we talked about doing a cover for it. But reality is that it doesn't seem to get noticed, so we have not done anything.
