Are power cones worth the time or effort?
Currently I'm running Kromeworks slipons on my 2010 Fatboy.
Stock air cleaner and stock map on the ecm.
Every once in a while I get a pop on decel. Will the cones prevent this?
Will the cones give a little boost to the torque?
Last year we did dyno combos with TQ cones and baffles. Turned out the TQ alone outperformed with baffles and baffles alone. I believe my 255se cams had something to fo with it being low rpm TQ.
I haven't had it on a dyno yet but when I switched to samson true duals 39 inch with no baffles I installed the TQ's. I was shocked at how much torque was there from them. My bike was dyno tuned for the Andrews cam, SE intake and a Fat Cat with Heritage muffler.
I hardley ever get any decel pop or back fire. Still getting it dyno'd but it actually runs great on the current map right now.
won't help popping... will probably make worse as heads won't scavage. Popping is ok, that means your bike is tuned right. May help your torque a little bit, but cams will help more...
