Recently I have heard horror stories about the fat spoke wheels suddenly going flat. I have been told a story that some of the built motors with more than stock horse power have been messing up the rear hubs spokes (ripping out the spokes completely or just bending them) and been causing some wrecks. I don’t know when this was or if has been recent or past. But if you have had any experience with this or have heard of this happening. if you have heard of this happening for a fact let me know. I know that I have them installed now and I have had everything checked, spokes checked, and valve stem checked, and I am running them tubeless I haven’t had a problem with them either. I have had the bike on the dyno as well. Nothing has been wrong with them. Just the story kind of holds me back from really twisting the throttle or down shifting hard to slow down. I guess am I really asking are they structurally sound and do I have to worry about them ripping apart. I also have 1500 miles on them.

Reason: missing words.
I did a lot of research on Ride wright and DNA before i decided to go wtih billet wheels.
Seems like most the issues or problems happend around 2010. When searching i didn't see many if any complains recently mostly just finishing issues.
But the problems they did have involved spokes leaking, but it should be gradual didn't see anything about htem just poof flat.
If you are worried about a flat and yhou dont do long trips just shove a tube in there.
Hey everyone that replied thanks for putting my throttle hand at ease. Was a little worried I would end up in a ditch somewhere. I will just keep my eye on them. She will be fine from what I am hearing. these wheels were made in 2012 and should be dot standard.
