Anyone out there do any custom work on the 2013 Breakout... Not sure how I really feel about them, however, I keep finding my self staring at them when I go into a dealership.
Let's see some PIC's
The breakout is really similar to the other fx style softails like the custom, rocker, and blackline so any custom fx style softails should give you a pretty good bases to what you can do with the breakout. I've seen some sick choppers that were converted from a fx softail.
Not very many of them out there right now. Dealers are not able to keep them in stock. Least the few around here.
You got that right, all the Houston area dealers sell em before they even get them in. I got the chance to actually sit on one that had already been sold, enough to know it's what I want. It's a damn sexy bike....
I took delivery on 4/4 of a vivid black one. Just last Wednesday night I seen another one vivid black also but with the CVO wheels. Makes for a whole different bike. I've been saving for my stage 1 (almost there) but after seeing the CVO wheels on there. I just can't get them out of my head. I have yet to see the blue (on the street) even though they where the first ones out.
Picked up mine 3/14. Took some work to find one and I have yet to see another one (dealership or on the road). The 5 dealers around me all stated 2-3 weeks before they would get another one. They did have a CVO at Laconia when I purchased it but it was gone when I went back for first service.
Not much done yet. Blue, rush slipons, pegs, and removed the reflectors. Next simple mod will be finding a solution to the useless mirrors (all I can see are my shoulders).

Mentioned this on another thread, all you guys with Breakouts watch how far you lean when cornering, just read a write up in a bike mag guys testing the Breakouts were scraping the primary cover with not to much effort, lean angle isn't to good apparently.

Interesting... I've been having a lot of fun with mine and haven't had that happen. I have been scraping my boots a lot (heel) but I haven't hit the primary so far. Though I've never done it when taking a corner, just swerving around. I was chasing 2 other guys through a nice curvey mountain road at high speed leans and still didn't scrape. (boots or primary)
Not doubting, just surprised I haven't had any issues. I had read the lean angle was only like 23.5 degrees.

Mainly a warning for those who really like to lean their bikes over, but going by the pics in the magazine the guy they showed wasn't leaning excessively.
