Default How to clean rear fat spoke wheels

How the hell do you clean the rear wheel when you have the fat spoke wheels i cant get behind the rotor enough to clean the spokes do i need to pull the wheel off the bike and pull the rotor and pulley to get behind them or is somebody using something to do it

I can just barely slide one of those wash mitts in the space but it is tough and your hand wont fit in it so I use a wooden spoon stuffed inside it.

Buy some detailing brushes, they have all kinds of shapes and sizes

I got some microfiber dusters (at least what I call them) at Autozone. They are thin enough to fit in between the spokes. Be careful not to put too much pressure or the plastic inside will bust through the microfiber. It works great and is much easier than a lot of other methods I have used.

Our dealership sells this brush,, Used it for 6yrs and and it cleans the spokes pretty easy, but it still hard to get to the inside of the hubs....

I use a spray wire wheel cleaner, then brush and hose off then dry and wax..








.

Go to any paint store, Ace Hardware, Tru-Value or Wally world and get the paint brushes that have the foam at the end rather than the hair bristles. You can also use them to apply wax and a clean one to remove it.
