found a bare bones on cl but it is the ln-007 and there web site says that only fits up to 99 . do any of you guys know if that will fit my bike ? i sold my other le pera and i miss the look . thanks
I may have the exact same seat sitting in a box in he garage. It's a side bolt on and the bolt holes aren't even close on my 07. Couldn't make it work.
Side note: I tired of my *** hurting like hell on my 40min commute to/from work, so I pulled the LePera and put my Deluxe seat back on. LUXURY! My *** has never been happier. Now to get a couple inches shaved off the back of the seat so I'm not so far forward.
I have no useful info for you but need to say "The barebones seat is a piece of crap, most uncomfortable junk I have ever parked my *** on that was called "a seat".
I happen to love my bare bones, its not shitty its just BAD *** looking, if you know going into it, if want comfort over looks then get some hideous lazy boy looking thing.

Bad *** and comfy *** are inversely proportional.
It's not a very comfortable seat, but it's the best looking seat out there for a softie, IMO. If you're looking for comfort, I hear the Goldwing is very cushy, even has cup holders for your Starbucks.
Just ****** with ya, but seriously, haven't heard of anyone buying a bare bones thinking it would be comfortable.
I tried a bunch of seats on my luxe including a barebones (which I returned) and had the stock seat cut down too but in the end, the lowest profile, most comfortable seat I wound up settling on is the Mustang Tripper Diamond Stitch Solo + passenger seat. I don't know what Mustang does to make their seats so damn comfortable and still be low profile but it works for me.
I love my Saddlemen compared to my La Pera seat. Looks about identical to me but it's got the gel and all that good stuff... way more comfortable.
That said... it still ain't no La Z boy...
Best picture I got...
My La Pera is also sitting in the garage like a lot of other peoples. Leather on it is a little f'ed up though... went a little Hulk on a tie down strap over the seat.
