Default 2013 103 Breakout

Would there be any issues with removing baffels from stock pipes?

Loss of back pressure like all Twin Cams. Decel pop most likely as well.

Not an unreasonable question to ask. Do some independent research on performance, importance of back pressure. Other than degraded performance and sounding like sh*t, it should be awesome. I understand the allure of a loud bike, but you spent $14-16K on a bike. Don't cheap out now, spend the $600-800 for some pipes that will sound good and will give you improved performance. If you must remove the baffles, at least check out the lollipop technique with some common hardware. Folks here have had some positive things to say about that.

I keeping my stock until I can do it right ,pipes, intake and tune. And probably cams. The 2013s really need an upgrade do to government emissions and e10 gas.

You get a lot of pop with slipons (At least I do, rush 1.75") so I can't imagine the kind of popping you will get from removing the baffles all together.

Default Vance and Hines

I went with the Vance and Hines. Used their stock baffles. It is NOT super loud. I was going for performance not decibel volume so frankly I am pleased. more of a deeper bass.
I ride in a pack and had V&H unbaffled on my Streetglide which sounded like a jackhammer! I have no flat spots or popping. The pipes are actually for a Rocker with an O2 sensor upgrade (my mechanics not my explanation.) I like the look and the performance a lot.
BTW: EVERY review I have read disses the cornering capabilities and low lean angle. I am having the 1000 service and have yet to unintentionally scrape the 'curb feelers.' It can be done IF you go into a corner at twice the posted speed limit or as I said force a hairpin slow turn but it is really more of an 'oh oh factor' in my opinion. I ride a lot and just traded in a 2010 Fatboy Lo with 42000 miles. I scraped the floorboards on occasion with it as well but I use my bike to get from point A to point B and find the softail works well for me. I do like the power and when asked about cornering limitations think of the song 454 Rocket: "She was made for the straightaways, grew up hating Chevrolets, She's a Rocket, She was made to burn!"

I was doing 70+ through a mountain road and never once scraped anything. I have aftermarket pegs and no feelers, but still.

I have scraped my boot heels swerving from one side of the road to the other real hard during boredom, but thats about it.

I'm not sure what kind of leaning people were doing when they scraped the primary but it had to be pretty sick!

I have had mine for 1 month tomorrow, at about 2k miles, and have never scraped the primary/pegs/anything other than my boot heels.

Where is the cat in the stock Breakout exhaust? In the muffler or the headpipe?
