It appears from the HD catalog there are two windshields for the Deuce. One quick release windshields that leaves no hardware and one removable that does leave some hardware. The quick release requires relocating the directionals. The removable one does not. How come? They both appear to be the same size in the pictures in the catalog. Anyone have either of these on their Deuce?
I have the quick release windshield and left the turn signals on the bars. I do not use the windshield unless it is cold or a really good chance of rain. It takes all of about 10 seconds to put it on or pull it off. Some on here use the windvest which blends in very well.
I'd love to have the new quick release shield. I have the older one with the docking hardware. It works goodbut I'd rather loose the hardware when I don't use the windshield. The hardware also gets in my way if I every trailer the bike as I tie the front from the forks.
I was under the impression that they were both SuperSport windshields, just different mounting hardware, but I could be wrong; I usually am.

That is what I thought so it begged the question why on one they want you to relocate the turn signals but not on the other?
Beats the heck out of me Crusher. I put the newer one on with the completely detachable hardware (looks great) and as it was stated earlier, I did not have to move turn signals. Chuck
i have the one with the docking hardware that stays on the bike. its not bad but i'm looking at the windvest.purely for looks.....make me an offer on my old one......otherwise its off to ebay.....
Here's a pic of my Standard with the "Old detachable" setup. Yeah, the instructions had you move the Turns down to the lower windshield mount but I moved them back to the bars after a couple of months, it was an easy cludge.
