So I've been doing some upgrades onmy softail standard
I put a fat boy tripple tree set on it but can't use the forks from the standard
Because they are to long for the cowbells to cover the lower leg like it is supposed to
I can get a complete set of forks from a 1999 fatboy
But my bike is a 2003 I checked all the catalogs and the cut off is 1999
I know the lowers are different for the caliper mount but should the fork
Tubes be the same ?
They are both 41 mm so can I just switch the lowers ?
Thanks in advance for any help
The only different between 99 and down is the fork sliders and the fork tubes are all the same 41mm no different between current and 84 on the tubes plus for the fl models or in your case fatboy you need to order 22 3/4 fork tubes. You can get the tubes with nothing in them or the whole complete tube
