No, that actually can't be the problem. That jumper wire is a standard part of the Softail wiring, but is only required for bikes running handlebar mounted turn signals, which no Night Train ever had. I've been running without one for years.

Well if all other wires are confirmed good the I think maybe the VR might be going out. When mine went out my headlight would pulse going down the freeway. Just a guess. At idle mine was also testing at 14v.

Wouldn't a bad voltage regulator screw up all the electrical stuff? There seems to be a ground wire in the 3 wires in the light itself. I assume 1 for hi/low and ground. It does do it on high and low beam. Kind of slow to switchover between beams too (hi-low or low-hi)

Well I took the headlight apart and the terminals werent corroded but i put a little grease on them anyways. So now where do I do with it?

No I haven't. What is the bulb number? Maybe i'll get one of the fancy white light ones. Can you get them from the auto parts store?
