I feel your pain, I have a new cvo breakout that has a very noticeable vibration/roughness from the engine the day I took possession of it. I took it back the next day, first I was told it was normal and when I refused to accept that they kept it for 5 days only to get it back with the same problem. Then I was told to put the 500 breakin miles on it before they will do anything else. Its not very enjoyable to ride, im very disappointed in the whole experience, after spending over 27k I would expect better !

Did you not check it over before signing off on the bike? Why did you even bother to ride the bike off the dealers lot?

The dealer doesn't allow you to test ride brand new bikes, the vibration isn't there at idle , only umder a load so you can only feel it while riding. I guess I was ignorant in believing a brand new bike touted to be the premium top of the line highest quality Harley made would have a problem right off the showroom floor, I just want them to fix it without all the BS !

Never understood this. Local dealers in this area allow test ride/check over of the bike before you take possession. Would you buy a car without a test drive?

Come to think of it, my Breakout also had a vibration when riding. I made a comment to the dealer about it. Hey said to come in and tryout another Breakout. In about 500 miles or less that vibration went away. I'm no dealing with a new issue.

Here is a good one. On June 22 I dropped of my Breakout for the second time to have the grinding fuel pump noise fixed. It's now been two weeks and my bike is still not fixed. The first time i dropped of my bike for the fuel pump noise it was there for about a week and half. As soon as I turned the ignition switch on, the fuel pump started to grind. No better than it did when I dropped it off. I guess the new fuel pump they replaced didn't fix it.

I'm obviously not alone. I called the dealer on Wednesday I was told my bike was not ready. Also, I was told they are going to replace the fuel pump again. Interestingly, the service manager also mentioned that they have another Breakout in their shop that is now doing the same thing as my bike. I hope my bike is fixed this time as I am beginning to get annoyed. NJ law states twenty total days for the same issue and I am entitled to file a complaint with the department of consumer affairs lemon law division. It's been well over twenty days. I don't want to burn the bridge with this dealer, I just want my bike fixed. I really hope it will work out, as I don't want to have go that route.

Good luck man. I have the same problem with my 09 Rocker C. Went through the ringer with the dealership for the last 4 years. "All of them do that." No fix.

Don't hesitate to start a fire. You are either paying on or have paid for the bike. The dealer has not done you any favors. Sounds like you are trying to polish an expensive turd. Get your money back and find a nice low mileage carbed bike.

My fatboy did something similar when I first had it. It wasn't quite that loud but more importantly it wasn't as persistent. After a 1000 miles or so mine settled down.

Good luck, I wouldn't accept it either.
