Default DOT3 and DOT4

I have been researching some threads but not coming up with anything conclusive...you can mix DOT3 and DOT4 brake fluid correct? I sure as hell hope so anyway

I changed the brakes on my crossbones today and toped off the front brake with DOT3 before thinking about it.

Yes you can, I think dot 5 cannot be mixed but dot 5.1 can be. Or the other way around.

Cool DOT 3,4,5 and 5.1 BRAKE FLUID

DOT 3 ,4 and 5.1 can all interchange. HOWEVER DOT 5 is SILICONE based CANNOT BE MIXED in any way with other's .IF you replace ALL brake parts calipers, master cylinder's,lines at same time you can switch to DOT 5 .It won't draw moisture, higher boil point and won't harm paint .$26 a qt it is pricey. RIDE SAFE
