Unhappy Poop

Well I'm getting close to buttoning up my new 124 motor in my 2011 Fatboy Lo and find a supprise. A couple years ago I ride down to Sturgis and find my new Fatboy lacking in the get up and go department compared to the Road Glide I had sold to buy new. Well fist vender I see is Speeds Performance so stop in to visit and see what can be done. Well they have some new cams that will spice up my life. Well I want to go gear drive as that's what I'm used to but this is my first TC and didn't like the idea of two chains running things. 2k later and maybe a bit of an increase but definitely not 2k worth. Fast forward to now and I pressed the cams from the plate and press the gears off. Surprise, Surprise, they put in old style cams, cam plate with roller bearings instead of bushings. I says to myself I can get over this till I try to put the gears on the new cams. Don't fit, too small, crap. 06 and earlier take different gears and it's Saturday Night and I'm bumed and venting. Hog rally next weekend and I'm looking doubtful.

Damn that sucks.
Is it something they can overnight or 2nd day air delivery?
Might be worth it If you really need the parts asap.
Good Luck, hope you get her fix.

Ah, the joys of aftermarket and exotic stuff. Not bashing, just saying. Hope you get her fixed up for event!
Why some of these aftermarket guys mix and match pieces and parts and then not print you out a list of what's in there is beyond me. Certainly doesn't make things easier. Good thing you didn't have a problem on the road.

Livin in remote Alaska there is no overnight shipping. Got lots of assembly left on the rest of the bike so will keep busy till parts get here. Getting real itchy to pull the trigger on this redo. Blows my mind thinking about an additional 28 cubes from the original 96. Remember when I built a 93" shovel in the 80's and everyone gasped and said I'd be sorry. 47k and it's still running. Hope Pearl treats me the same way.
