Carpenter, nice snag. You've got some great ridin' out there in So. Cal. Since you're new to the game I'm gonna go out on a limb regarding your challenge and see if others agree/disagree.
The fun is to ride looking for whatever the challenge is. I, for one, am not gonna load my bike into a small pickup and risk whatever chances of damaging it are to take a photo of it.
Don't want to discourage you from participating, this is a great and fun thread, especially when links to historic or interesting things are included, but I am going to suggest you consider a different challenge.
Sorry all, it seems I haven't done my home work. I've changed the challenge to a pic with your softy in front of a Bob's statue from the iconic Bob's Big Boy burger joints. I don't know how many states they're in so I apologize in advance to anyone who can't play, of course you could just ride around looking.
Used to love me some Bob's Big Boy. Like you I don't know which states they're in but your last sentence is the essence of the game. Always include GOS or glasses on seat to make sure it's a recent photo.
Now, let's find out about Bob's Big Boy locations...it appears the chain has severely downsized so....get after it guys and gals. (have we had a female participant/winner?)

My wife snagged a couple of the photos I posted up to win (if it was the Lo, it was probably her that snagged the pic), or she was with me and both of our bikes (Slim and Lo) appear in the photos. Since she's not a member on these forums, technically, she didn't win, but she certainly has been participating actively for the couple years I've been playing along.
Here's one of her installing the Shotgun Shocks on her Lo:
Have you had any contact from jam436? Tough times for him for sure.
Hope he is doing well. This season can be hard on all involved with it. Often riding helps, but hasn't been decent riding weather in his area recently.
Merry Christmas to all, and may 2015 be your best year to date. . . tomp dd50

Thanks, me and my son managed a pretty nice day.
Things were a bit rough for me this morning but it all worked out.
We spent the day at my daughter's for dinner, and even though things weren't quite the same we all had a good time.
Lately I'm just lurking about. Not much new since I missed most of this summer's rising season but next year should be better.
The bike's already under cover and in winter storage.
Lucky for me my son won't let me give up, as he bought me a killer all-weather Harley riding jacket with armor for Christmas.
I'm the luckiest Dad on earth - this kid is better than I ever deserved that's for sure...

Anyway, on to a new year and a new beginning...
Great to hear you are still here. God bless you and yours, sir. I pray that 2015 will be better for us all.
FWIW, my son, 25, got engaged today. She is a sweet lady, and I hope it lasts forever. I do understand about the wonder of our kids, too. tomp dd50

Good for both of you. You've mentioned before that he's been a good anchor for you (and, I suspect, that's a two-way gig).
Here's hoping that the new year brings us all a better, brighter situation.

Bittersweet here. My mother-in-law is fighting hard against cancer, and this was very, very likely her last Christmas. My stepson showed us a sonogram - 10.5 weeks. Pretty disheveled here, but we were/are grateful for the time we have.
Now, as for the Big Boy - the closest one to me is about a 500 mile round trip. There appear to be a lot out in Cali, however... so hopefully someone can manage.
