The least populated town in Texas is probably Lukenbach, in the Texas hill country, population under 5, (3 in 2006). Impact, in Taylor County, in north central Texas, has a population of 39. They are out there, but some are a long ride away, especially in a state the size of Texas.

One the large rivers in the Netherlands, the Lek, is always good for great scenery and small winding roads. Could be the last ride of the year, who knows!
Rode through two today. Orchard, pop 342, Pattison, pop 472. I was on a Dyna, so I didn't stop to take pics, but there are sign posted small towns out there.
Kevin, there has to be lots of small towns in your state. Good luck.
FWIW, looked at a couple of used Sportys today, but since none are like yours, and I just bought a Z1000 last week, guess a Sporty won't be in the garage any time soon. I would like to see how your Sportster runs with my new '13 Z1000. Bet it would be a fun comparison. tp
I rode another 75 miles of county roads today, passed thru 6 "towns" that were less than 1000, some had a sign with the town name, others did not even have a town sign. None had any population #'s.
This is an interestingly named town about 20 miles from us...population is less than 500, but nothing but a town name sign.
