Took about an hour and a half one way to get this and wasn't sure when I got there that I was going to get the bike close enough to get it in the pic. It was in a part of the park that traffic wasn't allowed but sweet talking a staff member got me just enough time to get a pic and get out before anyone else showed up.
I have to thank the po for the look and condition of the bike. I've only added engine guard and highway pegs.
Get a lot of compliments, especially from the older crowd. They can't believe that the bike is 21yrs old
I took a hint from OKMICK for the next challenge as there were cannons everywhere at the park.
The anchor isn't actually from a ship. It was used to anchor a mile long chain that was stretched across the Mississippi River reportedly in an effort to stop union ships going down the river so they could be fired upon more easily. An effort that failed mizzrably from what I understand.
Cannon at U.S. Grant High School, Oklahoma City, donated by the class of 1965.
Some great cannons at the local national guard armory but couldn't get in range with the bike.
