Softtail Photo Game Thread
What's the current challenge? Looking back through the threads, it's a bit confusing. I think this is it, but please correct me if I am wrong.

A purported former race bike of Ben Goddy, the bike's current owner, and the '96 FLSTN.
NEMRR Race weekend @ NHMS.
Next challenge, if I may: Your Softail pictured with a pre-1974 Saab Model 93, 96, 95-wagon, or Sonnett (preferably first-gen, but a III will suffice). Any car, any condition.
Just saying.
I was fueling the cage at a service station one day earlier this summer, and an elderly gentleman on the other side of the pump was doing the same. A seeming well-traveled and kind soul, was he. I believe at a time he worked with Doctors without Borders.
We began a benign conversation about fuel prices that led to the subject of fuel economy. This reminded him of a car he once owned with excellent fuel economy. He said sometime in the 1960s, he returned from work in Africa and bought a used car, a Saab 93.
Being I was familiar with the make and some iterations of the model, he and I expanded the discussion. He reminisced about quirky features, such as the freewheeling function operated by a handle front-and-center, low on the firewall beneath the dash. He also quipped about the challenges of operating such a vehicle while many gas stations did not stock the oil his two-stroke engine required. He was amused and pleased to stumble on someone with whom he could recall a familiar chapter in his life, and it brought him smiles and peace. I was similarly entertained and honored to speak with a man who actually owned one as a daily driver. That conversation made his day, in that moment, which in turn, made mine.
Often, people with motor interests have interests in more than just motorbikes. If such a suggested challenge upsets you so terribly, do with it what you wish. It matters not to me.
I find the suggested challenge to be specific but not narrow. Its intent was maybe to generate interest, or begin discussions, or even have researching and participating parties post a photograph or two meeting said challenge. I thought that was the intent? Broadening horizons, forum dialogue. Perhaps a return to rainbows and sunsets is in order.
Otherwise, here is an example of one seen in its natural habitat, and an enthusiast enjoying it. Happy motoring, of every manner!

I will leave this thread, offering good luck to those who are fortunate enough to locate the great white buffalo. But we can always play tag.
