Default extra plug and wires?

I have a 2007 FXST and was installing a Trask Performance intake, used to be the Doherty intake but now Trask makes and sells them.

When I was removing the stock intake I noticed a pair of wires, with a caped connector that was attached to the back of the stock intake backing plate. Does anyone know what this thing is for?

Thanks

I have one of those Doherty air cleaners and they are very nice. This may be the connector you are talking about.

That's it! Thank you so much!

I may need to take mine off and reinstall it. I have an old american iron magazine i saved because it had step by step install on the doherty intake.

I just read it and noticed several times they used loctight. In the trask instructions they never mention using it and i did not notice any of the stock bolts or screws having loctight on them.
