I had a pretty good stumble on my bike. It is a Blackline with shortshots, duke air cleaner, and a fuelpak. I bought and installed the Xieds last week. Took first ride today, since install, about 40 miles; problem is gone! I am running the Xieds in conjunction with the fuelpak. Seems to be running great and might even be pulling a little harder in 6th gear. I'm not looking to get into any kind of argument over the merits of the Xieds; I'm just saying they work great for me!
I've been kicking around the idea of purchasing the Xied, my bike is noticeably hotter this summer. In your opinion, would the heat issue be reduced with the install of the Xied? And what item did you purchase, I also am using a V&H fuelpak for my true duals.
Installed mine a few months ago and couldnt be happier, 2012 Blackline, factory stage one map left me with an immense amount of popping, Xieds all but eliminated and noticeably smoothed out the engine, cooled it down with better response all the way around, mpg's stayed in the mid 40's, slight drop from the "lean map" high 40's low 50's I was getting right after the tune.

Yes, heat is reduced. It is a noticeable difference. I am very impressed with the return on my $104 investment. I am running the FL-XIED on my 2012 Blackline. It depends on the year of your bike which model you will need. I went with Xied because it is just plug in and go, no adjustments needed.
Had them on my sportster, Heritage Softail and now on my RKC. I think they work great. Sportster and Softail had A/C and Exhaust upgrades. RKC is stock intake and exhaust.
I've used xieds for years and you are RIGHT! Xieds make my 103 runs 3 times cooler and yes they do give them some pep since the fuel ratio goes from 13.6 to 1 to 14.6 to 1. No one at the Harley shops from Huntsville, Alabama to Cool Springs, TN. have heard of them and think I'm crazy, but the joke is on them.
the xied along with any other tuner is redundant. Most people install xied so they can avoid the expense and tuning of a real tuner. Running both just tosses another variable in the mix. Theres no reason why you can't get your tuner alone to do what the xieds have added to the mix.
