Just came back from my dealer with this kit So I'll give it a try. Hope it's gonna get as smooth as it was on my Street Bob
ive had shovels, ironheads, and some twin cams. my last two twin cams were 2006 and 2009. i pounded 300 tposts and strung over 1 1/2 miles of 4 strand barbed wire. I went riding the next day to celebrate. Thats how I figured out my 2005 didnt have the easy pull deal installed. I am plenty strong, but my hands were wore out. It will make a difference. Mostly sitting in traffic you will notice it.
On my 2003 Softail Standard, (new to me in October '12) I was complaining that the clutch was extremely tight to pull. I was planning on getting a new clutch cable. Meanwhile I suddenly realized after riding a bit this spring that the clutch was not engaging until the lever was almost all the way out. I was having trouble on hills, and also on tight turns out of my parking space at my house.
So my hubby said he could at least adjust the cable so it would engage sooner. (He was a little reluctant to try to replace the cable). WELL! Not only is it engaging when it should, a side benefit is that it pulls a lot easier. I got stuck in major traffic a week ago and thought wow - I would have been in serious trouble before hubby's adjustment work.
Still think I'll replace the cable, since for all I now it's the original cable and I hear the new ones are easier??
