just about anything will work just do not use windex

Windex has ammonia in it and will turn your shield cloudy over time.

Glass Plus looks like windex but doesn't have ammonia in it. That's what I use.

Dittos on the Bugslide. Best stuff I've found. The more you use it the easier it is to get the bugs off the next time.

Can't think of the name, and I'm not at home right now to check. Comes in a blue/white can and sprays out in a foam. Non ammonia also. Let it set for a few seconds before wiping. The foam stays in place and doesn't run so it works on those bug guts real good. Available in the auto section of almost any store. I'll edit w/ the name when I get a chance. Good advise about wiping vertically; I'll have to start following it!

I have used Windex and paper towels for the last two years and have never had an issue yet...

I use plexus, works great. I have a can now for around a yearn and I clean the shield a lot(every time i ride)
