schlacker, what is the rider backrest you have on your deluxe, does it work with the stock seat?

Update: Talk about irony! I decided to keep the Breakout and not pull the trigger on a switch to heritage or bagger due to a) getting cleaned out by the dealer on such a trade, and b) increased monthly pmt. I've been looking into resolving the 2-up issue with either a custom sissy par or passenger pillion, and then late last week I get bad news on the employment front that cuts may be looming. So, not being entirely prepared for such an event I have to be proactive and let her go - it's out on the auction block (with a reserve, of course). If it goes, and the employment thing pans out in a positive way, then I'll prob be back. If it doesn't, then I'll either re-list or try to sell back to the dealer (without any mods of course).
I learned a huge lesson through this whole process - not to be so quick to react. Had I not fallen for the BO, I'd still have the heritage in the garage and paid off!! Dumb decision = burn. Sucks.
I appreciate all of the input from everyone on the subject.
P.S. - I still want to see those BO mods that you guys have in the works.

A Harley will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no Harley!

This is exactly my attitude. I'm going through some tough times myself at the moment. Money is tight...but I'll not sell my Harley until I have nothing left to eat. It's my escape and my source of sanity.

This would be my advice as well if you want to do a lot of 2 up riding.

My 2 cents. Your Heritage was a waaaay nicer looking bike than that BO. I'm not a big fan of the Break Outs and looking at the pictures you posted I can see why your missing your Heritage.

I'd sell the BO and buy the Heritage. Oops just noticed you decided to keep BO.

Impulse does suck at times... I know. Looks like you held back the reigns just in time for the calm before the storm. I'm glad to see that...

I was looking at a Fatboy prior to the BO release.... looked at a RG and SG 'briefly'.... OL liked the BO over them all... go figure. She loves riding 2 up with upgraded pillion. I did recently have her 2 up at the dealer on a RG with the tourpack and she loved it. Thoughts of a trade were looming for sure... still are, but not for a while.

I hope things pan out for you and you aren't affected by any cuts... sucks when you are in that boat.. just waiting.

Keep us posted and hopefully for you and your family it works out for the best.
