If you need help completing the stage 1(a/c & tuner), let us know.
AB, give me some info on this. I've got a 2008 FLSTC with the Samsons (no baffles). What type of filter/tuner setup should i look at. Bought the bike used and also paid for a full 5 yr warranty. I'm mechanically able, and it sounds like a simple thing, but will the dealer say it voids my warranty???
Now all I need to do is jet the carb. Any idea what jets are needed for Cholos and everything else stock? This is a carbed bike.
Edit: BKRider just sent me a email requesting that I send them an additional $64 dollars because of sales tax. Canceled that and went through M and M.
If you have a stock carbed bike, I would consider one step richer on the idle jet, and a 1988 XL needle. No need to richen up the main jet.
I'll be riding up to Tahoe in the beginning of August. Want to join me (and possibly a few other guys from the forum) for a ride near the 120 and the 49? Probably Saturday the 3rd...

Thanks for the jet info Dave!
That sounds like fun. Hopefully my pipes will be in by then. I'll be in touch.

I'd recommend going to Fuel Moto. I got their FuelMoto EFI tuner(PCIII) and their FM stage 1 pro billet air cleaner for $329. Plus the tuner comes already mapped to your bike with whatever you're putting on it.
But as far as the warranty is concerned, I'd check with the guys you bought the bike from. I'm assuming its a dealership, and some say it voids the warranty and some say it doesn't. And if you bought the bike with Samsons already on it, there's a slight chance that it already has the stage 1 installed, maybe even the HD stage 1 download at the least. I'd check with them before making any moves.

Thanks for the info.
No, the bike doesn't have any of that. I installed the bars and exhaust, bike didn't come with it, but i did buy the bike at the dealer.
Like I said, I'd check with the dealer first. There's a good chance that it won't affect the warranty. And you'll notice a huge difference from the lean stock settings. Give FuelMoto a call, those guys will take care of you.
+1 for M&M Cycle. However they just told me Samson is moving from Cali to Sturgis and will be out of comission for a coulpe weeks. Gonna put Cholos on my RK. Wife's deluxe just got 36" longtails w/baffles and she love's 'em.

Yep my 39s are on back order for three weeks because of the move.

That sucks!! I had originally ordered 36" longtails because honestly, I was a little scared of the 39s. But when I called samson, they told me it could be 3 to 4 weeks because they had just gone out for chrome. Because I have ZERO patience, I asked about the 39" and she told me they were sitting right in front of her. So Mark at MandM changed my order and they were shipped that day. I'm sooooooo glad I didn't wait for the 36s. The "cholos" look friggin awesome! Once you get through that first SCRAPE, it's all good after that.
