Default DayMaker Led for Breakout

Hey everyone,
just looking to see what ya'll think about the DayMaker Led headlight. I know with it being HD its got a high price tag.

Is the DayMaker worth the money or is there a headlight out there that could compare?

I live in Florida, not really sure on the law for headlights but my boyfriend has a Cbr1000rr with HID's and at night I use his light riding next to me to see ahead. The Breakout just has such a crappy stock headlight.

Don't really feel all that safe with a dim headlight.

I like how you have the better bike of the two : )

I just bought one and haven't installed it yet.
PPL here like it or don't. I wouldn't go off of what others think on this forum.
There's a LOT of opinions both good and bad. Some are just ridiculous.
The LED is better than stock regardless so base your decision off of that.

Whatever you do, don't buy it from HD.
Buy from Surdyke HD or Kutter HD when they have a free shipping promo.
I bought mine from Kutter, final price shipped was $332.

Good luck.

I got to check out a RG with double daymakers last night, looked like daylight in front of him. No bullshit either, I'm getting one for my fxst.

--Thanks so much for that info, yeah i posted on a different forum looking for opinions and they walked all over me (up one said and down the other) just for even asking the question. Everyone on the forum seems alot nicer.

I found this site from someone here on the forum called LSHD1 they said u get 20% off anything. I have a really good relationship with my Harley dealership so i was going to see if they would price match for it.
the headlight was $399.95 $319.96

That's the same price as Surdyke.com
319. They didn't have free shipping at the time and I have no patience until they offered it again so I went with Kutter.

I highly doubt HD is going to price match....

LSHD1 is great. Use them with confidence. BUT, the price is cheap because you get no help or advice. Enter your part#, and get it. Period.

Also: I put the Daymakers on my 2012 Road Glide. HOLY CRAP what a difference!

When I buy my Breakout (working on it now) the FIRST thing I will do is the headlight. Although LSHD1 is great, I will probably work my headlight into the deal and hopefully leave the dealer with it already on. If not, LSHD will get my order asap.

From a safety point of view these lights are tuff to beat. Do it. Period. Well worth the $$. They are incredibly better than stock, trust me.

I can see people commenting from an aesthetic point of view, as in they dont like the way the headlight looks....but performance wise I have NEVER heard anything negative ever on the HD Daymaker...I would say go for it if you dont care what teh headlight looks like...if you do then I would look at an aftermarket HID type light if you can figure out where to mount a ballast and all that goes with it.

ps i also have the custom dynamic dynamic rings on the scoot to replace the stock blinkers - although they are no way made for driving lights
the white running light of these are sooooo ddamn bright, its like they are adding more light to the even super bright led lite
