One of the first upgrades I did on my Deluxe was the Daymaker headlamp and riding lamps....... Expensive but worth it!

24v I have been trying for an hour and a half to get my 5 3/4 sunpie in the dang housing. All I have done is scrape up the lens of my new led. How the heck did you get yours in there?
Oh and I have a 2014 Breakout.

Guess I am going to be the odd man out. Buddy of mine just did the full Daymaker set up on his Street Glide. Now, prior to our ride last weekend I was absolutely sure I was getting one for my Fatboy....until I got in front of him and looked in my rear view. I literally thought his light were out. So much so that when we stopped for gas I was walking up to him to ask him to check to see if his headlight was working.

Before I could get a word out he asks..."So what do you think about my Daymaker man??!!" I laughed and told him that I thought his headlight was out when I saw him in my rear view. He may have had it on low beam. IDK, but I will have to see it in full on daylight a few more times before I buy one. A darkened garage is not the same.

This is because of the daymaker being a projector and having a sharp cutoff. Your mirrors and your point of view would be above that cutoff so you wouldn't see much light coming from it unless you were in a go-cart.

I see the guy above saying the opposite, but it's just going to depend on the kind of roads you are on.

The HD Daymakers are now "old Technology". While they're much brighter than the stock headlight, the required sharp cutoff causes problems when cornering - you literally ride into the cutoff zone. Even the cheap Chinese LEDs suffer from this problem. They just don't take into account the fact that bikes "lean" when cornering. There's only one set of LED headlights that address that problem - the "adaptive" motorcycle specific LED headlights from J.W.Speaker. They sense the lean of the bike and turn on a series of directional beams that steer around the corner as you ride. Do they work? - hell yes! But they're way expensive (7"=$800). If you do a lot of night riding on curvy roads or out in the country they're worth every dollar.
