A couple of days ago, I started a thread concerning my first harley and all the things that were going wrong. Several H-D Forum members offered up their advice. As a result, I did the following: Got a reduced reach seat (solved my problems with the hand and foot controls), got a windshield (solved my problems with head buffeting at higher speeds), took off the heel shifter (gave my left foot more room to maneuver), got a crotch cooler (solved the problems of heat burning my thigh). Found out that someone has removed the baffles from the muffler. That's why the bike is so incredibly loud. Will try to just get used to this (the louder, the better?), otherwise I'll install some baffles. My body has become a little stronger and somewhat more conditioined to this larger, heavier and more complicated machine. No more backaches and no more general fatigue upon arising in the morning. I love this forum. Thanks for the advice.

Reason: Misspelling
Also, I have the pleasure of sharing my love of riding with my wife.
She had never ridin before and expressed some interest so we took the plunge and now after her class, she is riding.
Mostly on the 250 honda Rebel but some on her new Fatboy Lo. we're gonna have to get her a new seat to move her forward some, already did 4" risers on the handle bars, and thought for sure we'd have to remove the heel shifter but she actually likes it.
Glad you were able to the needed advice to help you on your journey of riding!
Stay happy and ride safe!!

Reason: cuz sometimes I'm just a dumbass...
Don't know what kind of head pipes you have, so i don't know if they'd even fit or how they would look, but I have a set of stock mufflers off my 2011 heritage that would quiet it down. From one former military to another, if they will work you can have them for the cost of shipping. Take a look at your setup, your local parts dept will be able to tell you if they would fit. If you're interested send me a pm.
