I've got the 2" on my 12 Heritage. Yes there's popping (dealer installed with Stage 1) but it doesn't bother me. I have not noticed any scratching on the chrome and I keep my bikes polished and clean.
sorta related. got some rush slip ons 1.75 coming in and some fl-vieds-10 coming also. nightrider said 75% for a stockbike which ihave now. what setting will i need now with the slip ons and stock air box? 13 heritage 103ci
Got'em, really like 'em. Great sound, but not too loud. Did have lots of decel popping, but after lots of research on this site, installed the PC5, which eliminated 95%. Finally broke down and had the stage 1 performed, and bike runs great. Highly recommend Rush and PC5. Got the PC5 from Fuel Moto. Those guys rock!
At one time I was big on the Rush but not any more. After playing with a few sets of Cycle Shacks I won't buy another set of Rush. 2" Rush sound good but you'll lose some down low. The CS sound just as good, if not better, and no loss down low. The CS's have a stainless barrier against the wall of the muffler body. Helps with heat and bluing. Rush has nothing. CS's have a baffle inside that can be tweaked. Rush is just straight thru. Personally, I don't think anyone can beat the CS's for the money.
I have these on my '08 fatboy. They sound very good. Then I had Andrews 37 cams put in and they sounded even better. But "sounds good" is very subjective.
I have them with 1 3/4" and 2". Like the 2" best. they are poppers though. the chrome seems to scratch if you look at it hard. I dont like that! I am a serious detailer and no other chrome has any scratches.
They do scratch easily. Probably the only negative.
