I'm getting about 45 mpg. The plugs appear to be a little too clean without the tan color. I have a SERT and have been able to get rid of VERY annoying decel popping and would like to run just slightly richer. Any thoughts?
At 45 mpg you may be running a little lean but the decel popping is gone so the SERT is doing a job for you. Have you replaced the Air Intake? Have you made or plan to make any exhaust changes? Has the SERT been tuned?
I used to argue with someone on here about not having to do a dyno tune (I argued against it).
Then I got a dyno tune done. Wow, what a difference. And no fooling around or tinkering. It just ran wonderful.
My recent purchase of a 2012 was tuned with some pigy-back system. At some point soon I will go back and get it dyno tuned.
I used Dyno-Dave in Dallas. I'm sure not all dyno tuners are as good as he is, but since then I recommend them.
Sorry. A little more info was called for. It is a 2012 103 with high flow intake and Cobra slip-ons. I had it dyno'd at 2 local shops and they couldn't get the decel popping out (big bucks). I'm sure they just used applied the stage 1 map and let it go at that. Of course it was the make the mufflers that were at fault. Very disappointing. They are supposed to be school trained. I really don't mind spending the money but...
