I just recently purchased my first Harley [08 heritage] which came with saddleman explorer seat. I find the seat too low, not comfy and actually to far forward towards tank! Previous owner swears there are no better seats out there !!
Please any suggestions would be very welcome.

thats like saying there is no other seat made for the bike... i my self like the mustang vintage solo and then added the pillon seat for the wife, we have 3 bikes and run the same seat on all of them.... in the passed i had the mustang royal regal and didnt like it but that was years ago... i have heard goos things about the c&c seats but havent tried them
I don't know what seat came with your bike but I still have my stock seat and I like it. If I had to get another one, other than stock, I see Mustang mentioned a lot, so I might look into their seats.
My wife absolutly hated hers but we fixed that problem months ago.
My deluxe came with a seat that worked for me, but the passenger pillion was not comfortable for my wife. The heritage pillion wouldn't work with the luggage rack, so I went with the Harley sundowner. It is very comfortable for us both on long rides and matches the deluxe bags and tourpak. In Canada, it costs about $375.00.
The stock Heritage seat can't be beat for comfort and keeps you off the tank. (Looks are another thing). A Deluxe seat (one I use when 2-upping with the wife) is like heaven on earth compared to the LePara in my sig.
If that existing seat puts you too far forward then you are going to have trouble finding a seat that doesn't. That thing looks like your *** is sitting an inch off the fender as it is... I guess you could go up and back... again, Stock Heritage seat.

Agree. I've been through several seats and the stock seat on my heritage was by far the most comfortable.
Thanks for replies everyone. I enjoyed the stock seats when renting so I may as well have a look at those . Has anyone used the saddleman add on cushions ?
