I ordered a set of cables for my fathers bike, everything works and fits but the front brake cable is just a short piece that runs from the brake lever to the top of the forks. The new magnum brake line has a banjo bolt on one end and a threaded piece on the other end which would just fit right onto the existing hard brake line if it came off but its crimped on. Anyone else have this issue and what did you do, I don't want to have to snd it back and pay for another one, I'm in canada and shipping is crazy
Sounds like you have the universal brake line. do the fittings look like the ones in the pic? The top is the banjo fitting and the threaded end on the bottom is where you will need to buy the correct fitting for it. What bike does your father have and is it ABS or Non ABS. That would help a bunch to figure out what you need.

yeah that's what he has in the pic, the bike is an 06 deluxe non-abs. What type of fitting is needed? It doesn't look like the factory brake line comes apart
You are going to need a one piece brake line. Check out this page. http://www.magnumshielding.com/store...ngle_brake.php
You will need to figure out what length you need to route it from your master cylinder to the front brake caliper. Your upper banjo should be a 7/16 35deg and your lower banjo will be a 10mm I am not sure of the angle. You should be able to tell by looking at it. Hope this helps.

The cables were ordered from magnum. If this part won't work I wonder why they sent it and what's its purpose if it won't fit
Looking at the microfiche I see that is is all put together as a single line. Just like on my wifes Sportster.
I had to order a longer 1 piece universal brake line to make it work on her bike. I would ask Magnumshielding for a refund or exchange. Sorry your have such problems.
