Default Speedometer Accuracy
My previous non-Harley bikes had huge speedometer errors ranging from 7% to 10% slower than indicated.

I don't have a GPS to check my speedometer accuracy on my 2007 Softail Deluxe. Anyone checked the accuracy of the speedo of this bike?

I checked my 2013 Deluxe and it was right on the money. Couldn't hardly believe it!

I suspect that my 2007 is close also. When I did the speed limit on my other bikes it seemed like virtually everyone passed me at a high rate. On my Harley traffic tends to travel at the same as the bike when I am doing the speed limit.

I have had some HD's be as much as 10% off, and some be dead-on. My 2012 Softail is dead-on.

According to the radar speed limit signs in my area, mine is 2 mph fast. No telling how accurate the signs are though.

My 06 Deuce reads 3 mph fast. Confirmed with two different GPS units.

according to those road-side radars that tell you your speed, mine is 1-2 mph slower than actual on my 2010 FLSTFB
