Default Exhaust

Hello I am new to this site and have a question. I am looking for someone that modifiesthe stock slip on pipes on my 07 custom. No one advertises this service. Maybe there are leagal ssues. I like the stock look but would like a deeper, louder sound. I do not mind paying for the service. Any ideas.

Thanks and God bless, ride on

I talked to a guy with a custom that just drilled out the end of his to get a louder sound.
I persoanly would recomend Rush slip ons.
They have 3 sizes of interchanable baffles you can use.
The mufflersare anywhere from $225 to $275, and to change a baffle it's about $60 if you don't like the sound level.
Now my harley, sounds like a Harley.

Mine are Slash Downs and the also have Slash Outs.
Here's there web site (they have sound clips):

I would typically never say this, but aska mechanic in your dealer's service shop. Most of them are very helpful.

I removed my SE-II baffles and drilled them out myself. Took me about 30 minutes from start to finish! Well worth the effort.

Well I hope my search is over for a stock look muffler for my 07 softail custom. Last night I picked up some slip-ons from Krome Werks. They are very close to stock, (just slightly smaller diameter). They appear to be an open baffle 2" with reversion wave fittting at center of muffler. The reversion fitting should help performance. See American Iron magazine for January page 38 for details on reversion data. The Harley dealer says a remap is not necessary until the inake is changed. I hope to put them on today and will keep you informed. Thanks for any earlier replies.

I installed the Krome Werks tapered slip on HP Plus. Took the bike for a ride and liked the exhaust. It has just the right sound for me. 52 years old and getting hard of hearing. They sound similar to SE II I had on my sprtster. They are deeper on the 96cubic inch 2007. I would have to say I am pleasently atisfied. I also believe I have an increse in power. The real power will come when I change the intake.
