Hi guys. I have a 2006 springer classic. I am having a difficult time deciding on which windshield to go with. The two options on the HD website are King Size and Compact, but both seem to be taller than I prefer. I am 5'7" and I think a 13" - 15" tall would be best to ensure I look over and not looking thru it.
I am also considering clear Memphis Slim 15", not sure if they make it in 13" in that style/shade.
Can some of you please post a photo of your springer classic with windshield, your opinion, and provide part numbers and installation feedback?
Thanks a bunch!
btw...after being on a Yamaha V star 250 for 6 weeks, my wife just picked up a 2004 white Dyna Lowrider loaded with accessories.

I have a stock 15" hd windshield on mine and I am 5'8" it fits me perfect. Sorry no pics I don't use it that often. Dave
There are other aftermarket windshield size options if you have the stock windshield hardware/supports. Check out Clearview. They make a shorty that is a direct (albeit shorter and wider) replacement for the HD unit.
I have a stock 15" on my Springer Classic and I'm 5'10". It does it's job well enough. Long Ride Screens make replacement screens with a recurve on the top. From what I have read here, they do an excellent job and can be a few inches shorter.
your best bet is with aftermarket, HD windshields are notorious for under the shield buffeting that comes up from your knee side and will shake your head/helmet/glasses pretty good in long trips.
Not the best pic but this is what it looked like when I brought it home from the stealership
Nice bike. I'll go to a bike meet this weekend look for more samples. Met a guy from Australia a month ago at Bartel HD in Santa Monica, CA..he bought a bike exactly like that on the spot and had them ship it back to Aus. You are not that guy, are ya?
